Indian Service Medal 1939-1945

The Indian Service Medal 1939-1945 was a campaign medal of theCommonwealth. It was awarded to the Indian Forces for three years of non-operational service in India, and replaces the Defence Medal
Was instituted on 6 June, 1946 and awarded for service between 3 September 1939 and 2 September 1945.
